May 14th, 2012 • Site updated by Oliver White

Hungary has been added to the Europe section of AerialF1, detailing many circuits in the country. While Hungary doesn’t have a great tradition of motorsport in comparison to some of its neighbours, the nation have embraced Formula One since the sport returned after a fifty year break in 1986. Nepliget Park held the first race [...]

    Site Update: Street View Circuits

May 4th, 2012 • Site updated by Oliver White

A few circuits used on the Formula One calendar have been given the Google Street View treatment since I last checked (which is admittedly, a long time ago). Therefore some links have been added to the following tracks, with a promise to check these more often. It is unusual for a closed circuit to get [...]

China has been added to the Asia section of AerialF1, detailing many circuits and kart tracks in the country. Information on the circuits is a bit sketchy due to official sites being in Chinese. However, as and when data is translated it will be added.

Pakistan has been added to the Asia section of AerialF1, detailing four kart tracks in the country. This means the Asia section is almost complete, with just Israel and China to do. Getting there…

    Site Update: Cambodia

April 23rd, 2012 • Site updated by Oliver White

Cambodia has been added to the Asia section of AerialF1, detailing two kart tracks in the country. The imagery for Obye is poor and I believe the track wasn’t actually built at the time the aerial pictures were taken. As and when Google updates, I will too.

Uzbekistan has been added to the Asia section of AerialF1, detailing two kart tracks and one former proving ground that although is now in poor condition, is still used for minor racing events.

Site Update: Jordan, Lebanon, Nepal & Vietnam

April 23rd, 2012 • Site updated by Oliver White

Jordan, Lebanon, Nepal and Vietnam have been added to the Asia section of AerialF1, detailing six kart tracks across the four countries. Although not a popular pastime, motorsport is developing in these Asian/Middle Eastern nations, and with Formula One looking ever closer at this region of the world, it wouldn’t surprise me to see more [...]

Site Update: Honda Test Facility Historical Imagery

April 22nd, 2012 • Site updated by Oliver White

A new page has been created for Honda Test Facility in Japan. The oval track was in use when AerialF1 started out at BlogF1, but since then the track has been decommissioned, torn up, and now built over. However, with the power of Google Earth, we can still see the circuit in all it’s former [...]
